This film is a drama based on the book by teacher Erin Gruwell "Diary of a freelance writer," which was written for the incident, which happened at Wilson Classical High School.Young teacher from a comfortable relaxing area comes to school.Class that she got almost uncontrollable, divided into racial and clan groups. But she decides not to give up and seeks to ensure that students saw before them a decent future. I think this movie is worthy to see young people! Very Good Film!
I think that the book is better than the movie, but. Freedom Writers is an extremely powerful, moving and inspirational drama. Hilary Swank does a great job in the lead here, but the unknown actors and actresses who play the Freedom Writers are the soul of the film. Main theme of this film is that beause of insufficiency, inferiority children are agressive and have false values. Division into races aggravates the situation. Erin Gruwell - very beautiful and purposeful lady helps children to be friendly and educated. This movie pulls together people on a Holocaust subjct, idolizing Jews. Freedom Writers is one of those movies about an idealistic but strong-willed teacher who transforms a chaotic class of hardened inner city youths. The movie is a little too slick and polished for its own good, but its positive, uplifting moral messages and interesting characters and situations echo the good qualities of such true classics as Blackboard Jungle and Stand and Deliver.
The film "Freedom Writers" Think that this is not only drama film, there was a very positive moments. This is motivation film. When I finished waching it, i think "oh my god, it`s awesome" this movie made me think about how horrible racial and national opposition.Understood how badly treated to black people at the time. In this bad times, was a women, that saw in this childrens something good and pure. She is Erin Gruwell. Teacher, whose mark was techin, how to be a good person and mentaly grow. Her students was a childrens from bad familys, they called theyself "street warriors", but she told them, when they die, they left nothing after. She work hard, to open they hearts and stop wars between them. This film teach to don`t watch on a skin colour and to belive, that everybody have a pure soul.
I really enjoyed "Freedom Writers", I even think it is one of my favorite movies. After this film I understood what does mean "Class" and how we should attitude to each other. I also realized that our class is worse than class from Freedom Writers, I mean the changed class. I really like the theme of gang wars, it is really interesting part of the movie. And how children react on violence and live in this horrible and aggressive environment. I really think these children are lucky to get such a great teacher, which changed their lives forever. Students never conflicted again, and by the middle of studying year 2 they became brothers and sisters. There were a lot of dramatic moments when it was hard to hold back and not start droping tears. Especially when a guy read his diary and teacher read diaries, personaly for me it was difficult to not begin crying. The best moment of the movie is when Eva gave her statements in a court, I thought she will break innocent life, but she made the right desicion.
I am sure "Freedom Writers" is one of the best movis I have ever seen, and I advise you to watch it.
The movie "Freedom Writers" surprised me, I didn't think that in American schools there can be a such. Such awful human relations only because of skin color. All people have the right for life and respect, and it isn't influenced by skin color or a nationality. And Latin Americans, and the Afro-Americans - people, also shouldn't be at war among themselves. As in the movie show the great teacher who not only teaches a subject as many teachers, but also thinks of life of pupils and of how to stop their hostility. It is difficult to believe that black and white people still hate each other though took place many years since slavery times in America. But nevertheless I consider that in the movie everything is embellished, and such violent hostility can't be. The main thing that the movie learns to respect other people, be they black, white or green, all are worthy respect

In this film are very interesting psychological techniques, what teacher is used. Based on the book, which based on a true story. I didn't read the book, but film impress me! The film tells about the teenagers who have seen some more than adults. How important, when there is person, who believes in you in the most difficult moment. In this film it was young teacher. Woman comes to school with troubled teenagers and wants to ensure that these difficult teenagers have found themselves and have became personalities. Great film! Applause!
"Freedom Writers" is very touching and imressive film. We can see how characters are changing and we are changing with them too. I think that this film also shows how teacher have to look like. How teacher should do and how he shoud learn. Teacher have to be The Person who inspire other people, students to do something good. Mrs G. inspired her class to see not just "gang" and "other gang", she tried to help them find themselfs, find each other. One woman against teenagers, who had expirience that some adults never had and maybe never will. And in the end - big family. You can't change whole world but you can change little universe around you.
I was impressed by this film. In my opinion, it is the greatest film about relations between racial gangs. First time I was shocked , relations are so cruel. Students hated each other, but they are so young, how could they? I admire Mrs. G. so much, she is very brave, she believed that those kids have very good personalities, even when they didn't believe in themselves. Her methods are genial. I wanted to cry all the time during the second part of the film. Especially when you hear notes from student's diaries and see their emotions. The film show that we can't judge people just because of their nationality. It is very stupid and could bring many problems.
"Freedom Writers" is dramatic, sad, interesting, and most importantly - truthful film. Throughout the film we can see strained relations between students, between teachers, between students and young teacher, who tries to resolve the conflicts between own students. Conflict based on racial identity. I will not talk a lot on this topic, but in my opinion all humans have the right to live on par with others. I think it's evident. I don't like the racists. The teacher is very devoted to his work. While her colleagues try to leave everything as it is and don't try to do anything, she starts teaching the students to respect and appreciate each other. I didn't realize it was based on a true story and that made the whole point of the movie even better. I think "Freedom Writers" shines hope on disadvantaged youth and great encouragement to defy all obstacles! I was also impressed by the soundtrack and cinematography, and how they incorporated the diaries into the story. As usual, Hillary Swank plays a great role in this film and now I'm really wanna go out and buy the book. Anyway, for those who didn't see it - you will NOT be disappointed!

Despite the fact that the class she got almost uncontrollable , split on racial and clan groups , the teacher does not give up and does everything possible to make disciples reconciled. Erin Gryuell makes guys really amicable , helps to solve the problems , she becomes their friend and shows a completely different world of which part they may become . Her actions towards children delight , and she deserves respect !
When I saw that film , I thought "Holy shit , it is great movie!" . Freedom Writers is excellent , thruthly, dramatic, sad, interesting and positive film . This film motivates us . It says that we could be better. This film tells about life in the ghetto and how can you get better, that between whites and blacks is virtually no difference . Love this film .

It's hard to explain because I have so many fellings about this film. It's so touchable. I was following the story like it was my sory - a worried about all characters like I know them. After this film I had a lot of time to think about it, read some comments in the internet. There is too many people who were lathing on this film and saying that this film is meaning less. I don't understand them. I was crying. This film is something for all to see. I also have my favorite character. I can't find his name. I carefully watched the film one more time, but haven't found it. This boy, who lived without mother, who spent a lot of time in prison. I don't know why, but I really like him. This film makes you wonder, because when you are watching it, you understand that everything can be changed. In start of film we saw young hooligans, offenders and misfits from ghetto. They called themselves "street warriors". I though people like them cant become usual people again. But Erin Gruwells made impossible thing, she opened eyes to all that teenagers. Film "The Freedom Writers" opens our eyes to the problem of racial gangs conflict. The main problem is that already in young age, people are exposed to such a strong impact of racial prejudices. They have grown up on the streets of ghetto and have seen all this violence around them. Mrs. G. showed that does not matter what is your skin color, what kind of clothes you wear, or what music you listen. Matter is only this what you think and what you feel with your heart. She gave all her power to show guys how interesting and miscellaneous the world can be. Also she gave to the students opportunity to share their thoughts with other guys in hope that their could better understand each other. This film, "Freedom Writers", is a good example of work of art, that combines good plot, a little of drama, some humor and big significance. It's about a teacher Mrs. G, that was trying to help her students- gangsters, looters, burglars and bandits- imagine, that gangsters from other gangs are men like they and they mustn't kill, if they are forced to do that. Teacher was a kind of psycholog, reading the "confessions"of students. After all problems that were arised were passed, Mrs. G attained her goal- she made her class friendlier and stronger. I think this film deserves attention and most people must watch it.
The movie "writers of freedom" shows problems in international society. Such as racism and gangster groups. On the example of the teacher and pupils the movie learns that You can reach everything. Just belive yourself. This movie liked to me and inspired. Now I am sure I can reach everything. It is necessary to believe in itself only.
